Starvation alert

Loyal readers, please understand that we do try to humour Äiti's hobbies but there are limits. On Monday night she came home late, thanks to her 'hobby' of Finnish lessons which seem to be endless and making no progress whatsoever. She popped her head round the door, grabbed her camera, and disappeared. We then hear her outside, beyond the catio. Surely there were no stinky birds at this time of night ?
Pekka-poika was duly elected to investigate as the balcony tuulikaappi was open. He braved arctic temperatures (-15'C) and went out and yelled. And his reward - she took a photo of him!
He's the white lump on top of the other white lump of snow. But soon all was clear to him and he sat and he watched quietly. Above the house, around the house, were beautiful revontulet. All our friends at the Bridge were dancing.
Imagine kitties, a green sky. We allowed Äiti to feed us late and were patient as she sorted out photos that were not of us.
And we are also quite proud - there are not that many photos of northern lights with a cat in them! So we think this is a suitable photo to show on a 'leap day'. Happy February 29th, loyal readers!

Beautiful pictures! Mum didn't realise she missed "norrskenet" (the northern lights) until she saw these photos.
