Snow and snow and snow

Loyal readers, we are joining in with the global trend of wild and weird weather this winter. Äiti is not in a good mood because she is always having to do snow work. She has however been ignoring the catio so fr this week, so look what we had to compete with when we went out yesterday afternoon!
But where there is snow there is hope of mousies. She found these tracks in the garden.  We are not sure what left these footprints, but we are very sure it would have been tasty.
As Äiti has been neglecting her duties, it was up to Ruska to clear a path to Poo Corner. This was not easy. We thought it best that the blackest of us went because we would be able to see him for longest in the deep snow drifts.
We were all relieved (including Ruska) when he returned. Although he did have a few snow balls on his mane.
We then had to make sure Jaava-ninja did not get caught in an avalanche. Yes loyal readers, she really is trying to climb up a snow drift.
Luckily she changed her mind but couldn't turn round - she had to walk backwards down the slope!

Good heavens, that's a lot of snow on your catio! That's what our back space should look like this time of year, but last night we had rain, rain and more rain.

Truth be told, we've loved this ridiculously mild and mostly snow-free winter, though none of us, including the human, likely will ever live to see another winter as great as this one. LOL.

Wowzers, that's a lot of snow! You could disappear in there never to be seen again, or at least until the thaw.

How strong and brave Ruska is, clearing a path for the rest of his family! Once inside, we hope he got rid of those snow balls quickly. We are so relieved that Jaava got out of harm´s way. After all, nobody wants a St. Bernard dog on your catio.

PS. Äiti must be really, really clever as she was able to understand our post from today! Mum tried the Google translator and felt very confused. She wrote what she hope is a slightly better translation and posted it.
