We brave Finncats have been out on the catio. The snow is powdery and soft, but a little chilly on the paw pads.
Pekka-poika is reminded of last winter when he was living wild in the fields (he must have had some shelter somewhere so he did not freeze to death - thank goodness). But he loves being outside and strides purposefully through the snow. And he begins to dig down.
Deeper and deeper - we were really hoping he had found a mousie trail.
No luck - he digs in a new place.
And in another.
But unfortunately there were no tasty mousies and he just got a bit flaky!
And I had no luck either.
But our search will continue!

You are very brave indeed!
No snow here but we did get a hard frost this morning!
Purrs,

No mousie? Very disappointing! Better luck next time. :-)
BTW, answering the question you left in your comment on our blog: We do our business inside, in our litter boxes, even in summer.
You look really, really brave in the snow, and handsome too.
Nice to meet a cat from Finland:)
Purrrr...and hugs from,
Pernille in Norway.
You WILL find those mousies, you have sisu! How long can you stand to be outdoors before you have to come inside?
OH wow now that looks cold but fun!
More snow mice to find.

Pekka-poika is very hardy striding around in the snow. He looks like he was so fed up at not finding a mouse that he peed in the last hole he dug.
