Pyhäinpäivä - All Saints Day
Today is the official celebration of Pyhäinpäivä in Finland, and it is a day when humans go to the cemetery and light candles to remember those who have died. Now we recently posted about our beloved Monty-cat and it is a day and Äiti has been hoping to see revontulet - she tells us she feels the northern lights are where our friends who have come before are now playing among the stars. However the weather has been really cloudy this autumn so she's failed to see them so far. We therefore raid the archives and post an old photo from the spring time when revontulet were dancing. We know they are there now, even if we cannot see them.

It is lovely to think of all our old friends dancing among the northern lights!
Purrs,
The Chans
Mommy loves the idea of our friends playing in the stars...
Living in southern California, I haven't given much thought to the Northern Lights, but I like what you have said about them!
