Saturday Shelves

We have a sunny spot in our catio shelves, and a good view to the garden.
And Stran-veli loves sitting there, until he spots something that needs his attention. He then sneaks stylishly down the shelves.
We all think the access holes Äiti put in the shelves are great fun. Even if they are not perfect circles.
What a stretch! What beautiful furs.
And his tail will just about fit through.
And now he can patrol around and keep us in order.
And, loyal readers, as you might know Äiti claims to know a bit about physics so she was astonished by the headlines in the press that Einstein maybe got it wrong, and faster than light travel may have been discovered. This is no surprise to us, and she's been really stupid (and slow). Of course some things travel faster than light: they are called Jaava and Jura!
One thing that definitely travels slower than light - in fact I think her speed is so slow that continents move more quickly than she does - is Äiti. She finally went to pick up a parcel from the post office which arrived a day ago. And of course the parcel was for us!  It was birthday greetings and lots of yummy food from Ruska's sister in southern Finland. We absolutely love it when we get these surprises. And it arrived in time for a huge party we had last night as yesterday was Maggie May Day. Maggie May is of course my gorgeous, stunning tortie girlfriend. It is three years since her last surgery on her naughty kneecaps and I was celebrating wildly because this is so important. She had a really rough time with her luxating patellae. I had surgery on only one knee - she had quiet and humble little mancat who is deeply suspicious of girlacts, do admit that my heart belongs to her. I was so happy that I ate THREE handfuls of dry food from Äiti's hand. I felt really full afterwards but Äiti said I was a most excellent boy because she can no longer feel every spiny bone on me.

Handsum Stran-veli, you look amazing climbing through that hole! That tail is lucious! Keep eating and putting on weight. Purrs and headbutts.

Stran, we think that you too defy physics by warping the space-time continuum to fit through those holes! Such magnificent fluff you have to compress and re-expand.
Puna, we envy you your eat everything diet...Mommy in particular.

Isn't your Aiti a wonderful Aiti! She made you those wonderful catio shelves herself! And made the openings too! Wonderful! She' s a pretty special lady, talented and smart too! We're sure Jura and Jaava would boggle even Einstein! Especially their body movements! Defy any known laws of physics! Can they actually be going forward and backward at the same time!
Thank goodness you are eating! We still don't think your refusal of food was psychological. We remember when dear Ginger Jasper was sick and wouldn't eat. Heartbreaking! Please give our love to all of the kitties.
Kisses to you, sweetheart!

The speed that Jaava and Jura move around would confuse anybody. They are surely faster than light.
