Mad Monday

We are back! Loyal readers, this has been a trial. I realise how much I am a modern, globally connected mancat and how hard it has been not having the interwebs for 36 hours. Stran-veli decided to lay back and enjoy the wireless-less world, but I found it more frustrating. And as for Äiti, she was positively shaking in withdrawal.
On Saturday, the humid heavy skies of Finland (North) were slashed with lightning. At one point there was a flash and the air fizzed. Our catio net seemed to glow and Stran-veli dashed inside. Perhaps he was checking Äiti was safe, perhaps even he was a little spooked. Äiti came and checked us all as the thunder was very loud and the flashes very close. Then she noticed that the interwebs were not available. She made some phone calls and discovered this simply was not our modem-thingy (it had not been fried) but a bigger problem and we just had to wait.
And now our waiting is over, and I am back blogging.
I would like to wish our friend Vili at Kissmollin a belated 13th birthday. Äiti went to celebrate this with him yesterday and came back covered in drool and fur. He is a grand Abyssinian cat, and loves Äiti who is giving him the wonderful birthday present of removing two kittens from his company on Saturday. I am not quite so happy as Vili is about this.

What a relief to have you back! Being disconnected from all one's friends is the absolute worst thing!

We don't know how Anglophone they are but we stopped over to wish Vili a happy birthday. He is, after all, an Aby!

Yes, Puna-Chan, #1 is spending far too much time in the back room. But this morning, she came back to our bed early, and I snuggled with her for a couple of hours under the covers. Heaven!

Purrs,
Bibi-Chan

I am very glad you are back. Internet is like a lifeline, isn't it? Thank goodness you were all OK with that storm.

We're glad you're all safe and back on-line! It's amazing what you can become used to having (i.e. the web) and how it can affect you when you don't. LOL.

BTW, the mom wants to tell you that no, Toby won't be invited inside the house in the foreseeable future. She's seen how he "tussles" with the other roaming outdoor kitties, even though he's neutered now, and isn't keen to go further into debt with huge vet bills, thanks. :-P

Guys! We just found you. You mean.. that you ALL live in there, together? Wow. There are something like HUNDRED of you guys. Or maybe THOUSAND AND TWENTY. Plenty, in any case!

Vili is a handsome guy! We like how Stran is airing out his grand belly furs. We're sorry that you lost your internets. Our mom would have to be committed to a nut house if that were to happen to us. She's fine without the net if she's not at home, but she can't even imagine being without it while sitting at home. She's crazy. Oh, and thanks for saying that I look almost cute - that's exactly the look I was going for! :)

Your friend, Zoe

Mommy just about stoked out seeing Stran's majestic curly tummy furs! Does he enjoy snorgling?
We have had incredible weather here too; Mommy wasn't sure she'd get home from work due to flash flooding in the desert.
Life without the net is awful, but perhaps not as bad as your imminent kitten INVASION.

I'm glad you are back - that thunderstorm sounded a little too close for comfort!

Welcome back! We've missed you. You are one of our largest suppliers of kitty tummy photos. And we just love our kittie tummies! Our gran has Alzheimer's and can make life very trying for our mum. Mum uses kitty tummies to calm her frazzled nerves. Works better than anything!
Now we know the little ones will be arriving on Saturday. We are so excited! We just can't wait. Lots of love to you!
P.S. Don't think for even a moment, with the kitties arrival, we will love any of you one iota less!
