Full Friday

Loyal readers, I thank you for making nice comments about Äiti's poorly constructed hammick. It has - amazingly - passed the Fatboy test and Mirsku-veli was able to sit on it without any breakage. It seems that its strange angle actually help to keep it in tension and upright. But it really, honestly is a mess. Leaning doesn't describe it!
We had a great morning on the catio.
Äiti noticed that Stran-veli was holding his paw in pain (you can see in this picture he is holding it up) and it was checked by ystävämme eläinlääkäri. He had ripped the nail. And I got the blame! Apparently Äiti thinks I started the fight with Risto-puolihäntä (who also got a shot of antibiotics thanks to a scabby ear). Admittedly I could not look her in the eye when she asked me to deny it, but I am a feisty mancat who needs to assert himself. And when I ran away it didn't mean I had lost. Pah!
It was sunny so there was much lounging around. Mirsku-veli nearly swallowed us all up in his sleepy enthusiasm. And look at this cheek - I give him the bottom of disrespect and he nabs my magnificent fluffy tail!
Ruska was thoroughly enjoying lying in the grass.
Here you should be able to see four cat bellies. And Tessie-kilpikonna who has the most amazing appetite right now.
Aila-sisko is tarting behind the kissanminttu.
And of course I need a photo all to myself.
So loyal readers, this is the peace and quiet that will be shattered tomorrow. I heard Äiti having The Conversation with Stran-veli - the one in which she asks him if he will look after the new kitties, and keep everyone safe and happy in perheeni. And he just purrs wisely as she hands him another treat, and takes it all in his stride. And I realise that maybe I have to set a good example too, and it is a very good thing that we have new kittens coming to our wonderful home which maybe is big enough to share. Perhaps this is a stage where I can offer a lot to young kittens: I am a wise king after all. For instance, Äiti loves this photo of Stran-veli and me the best.
It really shows how he gave me advice an wisdom. And he was kind enough to also let me play with him - even poking him by accident in his missing eye.
Maybe now I can try to be a bit like him and welcome these two. Perhaps I can be a good example and be looked up to in their eyes as Punapippuri-veli. Unless they take my favourite mouse -then I might get mad. But perhaps I can try not to. Maybe.

Oh, Pikku, you will do well, I am sure. It is quite easy to be good to kittens, because they are so cute. It is later when they stay and stay that it becomes questionable. is tomorrow the big day?

That is such a sweet photo of little you with Stran. Maybe you could get Aiti to pin it up to remind you to be nice to the new kitties.

I can see why your mum loves that photo because its lovely as all the others. I smiled at the tail flicking one. I think you will be realy good to the little one's and teach what you know. The hammick is just fine so tell mum not to worry.. Hugs GJ xx

Perhaps Aiti could anchor your hammock in the Soil of Finland.

So it seems that Stran and Risto were hauled off to the vet; never a good thing...Puna, you will have to recall the lessons Stran taught you and pass them on to the kits. He was very patient with you!

So much to say... So, a leaning hammock would be WAY more fun than a steady one! We're sad that Stran is still hurty - we hope his torn claw mends fast. We love Aila's photo! We hope tortoises don't like Temptations/Dreamies. We love the photos of Pikku Punappuri and Stran. And lastly, try to be a good role model for the kittens - that means sharing your favorite mousie if they ask politely to play with it.

Your expressions in your baby photo with Stran are wonderful. We have our paws crossed that the integration will go well for all concerned!

I can't wait for your new arrivals!

BTW, that hammock? It looks like something my human would have built. Maybe she wouldn't have even been able to build something THAT sturdy!
