Thursday round up

At last, Äiti has done the pictures and I can show you more of perheeni and how we are settling down. Äiti is very proud of us and wants me to tell you how we are all getting on. There are only a few hisses now, mainly when one of the mosquitoes leaps around and catches us by surprise. They get everywhere, and when they are doing their crazy leaping, it's just as well to keep clear. Pekka-poika has joined in a little chase but we adults are very gentle and don't want to scare them. Not that Jaava and Jura have noticed - their tussles are far from gentle. Sometimes it is good to watch from afar.
Tumo-veli is very kind: he lies down when the little ones walk by and shows them he is no threat. Before Pekka arrived, Tuomo didn't really like other cats but he does tussle now. Äiti is very pleased with the way he has reacted.
Tuomo would, however, like his bed back. Every night he slept by Äiti but now there are mad kitten games getting in the way of this. Mirsku-veli is also missing his special time on the bed with Mr Elephant. Lewis-veli has been accepting of the monsters too.
Even if he does resort to destroying our nip supply after a close encounter.
Harris-veli wants to play. He has found his inner-kitten. Trouble is, Jaava and Jura are so busy playing with each other they have ignored him. When he did chase them they were a little worried as for them Harris is quite a big playmate!
And Stran-veli is just excellent, as always. He knows he is very big and would scare them, so he is gentle.
And he has time for me too, of course.
I have been playing a little with them too - one the stair shelves (I had climbed the huge pole before they did and was pawing downwards, hehehe). Roosa and Risto are interested too and Risto has been very gentle .Äiti saw him sneak onto the wardrobe to see the kittens when they were sleeping. Roosa is a bit nervous of them (they are ridiculously confident!).
Yesterday Jaava and Jura paid a bit more attention to Tessie-kilpikonna. She didn't care, but they were confused about this rock thing that moves and eats.
Jaava does have interesting colours and it is hard for Äiti to show them all, but yesterday it was sunny so there were many photos. She will be a typical tortie girlcat..... Here she wants a cuddle - a full clawed request.
Here she shows her love of flowers, by destroying one.
Maybe here she is gentler.
And here she is playing at hunting.
She has the eye of a cunning girlcat. But even I think she is quite sweet.
Until she starts thundering around.
This photo shows her furs more clearly. Äiti has been told her colours will change as she gets older.
And this morning, the kittens are still asleep and we mancats have had an ace game of chase. Äiti is very happy about that because it shows how we are getting back to normal.
Rilli-ukko went to ystävämme eläinlääkäri yesterday and registered his displeasure with lots of loud complaining. He has lost 300g in the last few months but we do not yet know the results of the blood tests. He has very stinky breath, but all other outward symptoms are good given he has kidney failure. The kittens are beginning to show him a little more respect and not bother him so much. Afterall, they have the rest of us to torment!
Äiti's note: it may all be fun and games and harmony, but the amount of peemailing that is going on has increased greatly. Ruska, Tuomo and Punapippuri himself have done the deed, right in front of me!

Wow, what a wonderful report! And Harris wants to PLAY! That has our mom smiling real big. Though our mom is quite worried about Rilli and his stinky breath, so she'll be interested to hear the reports. Love the photos and the updates!!

Oh, Mommy knows all about the pee-mail. *sigh* It should clear up after the new hierarchy is established...mostly. *double sigh*

OTHERWISE, it looks like J & J are having the time of their lives meeting and playing with the new family! Wonderful photos!

Great pictures! It's nice to know that routine is coming back. Mom says she understands about the pee mail. Tamir has been known to do it right in front of her too.

We love that everyone is getting along! Baby kitties have such an unexpected effect on everyone. We hope that Tessie isn't too upset by the inquisitive little ones.
The pee mail! We think it will subside when everyone finds their place. Then Aiti can maybe change things out and the spritzs will only be a memory.
The photos, as always are gorgeous! All of our love to all of you.

Maybe your Aiti can bring us up to speed on the two new kittie's colours. Our Aiti read that lilac and fawn are rare and torti is very rare. So little Jaava is a lilac torti? And Jura? What ever colour their color, they are exquisite! ( You still have my vote for most adorable kitty, Puna!) Our prayers are with Rilli for an easy fix for his problem.
