It's tough for Ruska - being black and fluffy in this heat. But he still lies in the sun, lapping it up.
I am a little more shady.
And I even went inside to help Äiti. The sewing machine is very interesting. For some reason she would not take a photo when I was actually helping her thread the needle. I kept being pushed away and treated very rudely. I will have my revenge......

We are sure you would be very good with the needle and thread given half a chance.

Aww, you look very wistful and dejected in that last photo.

We're sure you could help OUR mom...The last time she tried to thread a needle she took forever, couldn't see it. Now she knows why, as a child, her own mom would get her to do it. LOL.

Hmph. Your human would have had that needle threaded in NO time if she had allowed you to help!

Mom's just don't appreciate good help when they get it! You know, now that you mention it, our house panther brother (now at the Bridge) was the biggest sun-loving cat that has ever owned our mom. He would lay for hours in the sun and his furs would be so hot they'd almost burn our mom's hands!
