I had a lovely chin scratch from Äiti this morning and she removed a nasty little fur tangle from my neck - it was just at an awkward spot where I could not easily reach it. It is good she has her uses. Especially as we have another hot day and I do not wish to exhaust myself grooming. The temperature is above 30'C again - already. Northern Finland can get hot but this temperature is unusual. In the winter -35'C is about the lowest on the catio, and we get it a couple of times most years. My palace is about 5km from the sea but it's not a big sea so even though there is a wind it is not hugely cooling. It does mean that we are a little more moderate in temperature than those places 100km inland. Äiti says it is hotter here in summers than in the UK, but nicer because it is less humid. However she likes it to stay around what we Finncats call helle, 25'C. When it is above helle, we have proper summer! And one good thing is that the catio was open so we were outside all night. The bbq had been lit, and we tried to steal makkara (sausages) but failed - greedy Äiti ate them all. And then she bought out some muikku so we did have a feast.
Aila-sisko has been outside, tarting away. I thought I would share some photos with you, as she's not unpleasant on the eye.
But beware, she's a girlcat who can yowl when she wants to!

Aila looks very happy! We're glad she's so relaxed. It's a shame you didn't get any sausage! We do hope it cools off for you all soon.

Gosh it sounds really hot there. We know just how you feel. We are got here too. Aila, you are very very easy on the eye, in fact you are very pretty. Love the pictures. Hope you have a fun week end and get some little cooler weather. Take care. Nice to meet you.

Puna, you are going to have to beat off the boycats with a stick after posting such lascivious photos of Aila! (Or perhaps she'd enjoy doing that herself?) Those Juicy Little Legs are driving us WILD!

Whew, we're warm and we aren't anywhere near Finland...

My human's boyfriend is playing Helsinki tonight with one of his bands, and some festival in Espoo tomorrow - he will think he's back in California with that kind of weather! Except that we are much cooler right now! And overcast (no sun puddles for us kitties).

We wish we could have some of your hot, but not all of it. We were down to 12C today. We hope summer remembers where we live.

Hi Aila! It's wonderful to see you. Don't get sun burned on those shell pink ears or little pink nose. Love and kisses to all. Extra big smooches to you.
