Apparently the temperature is only some tiny number of fahrenheit, like 90. I am sure Äiti has done her calculations wrong and it's really 9000. We were too tired to wake her at 6am so she woke us for breakfast. This is very unusual. But those of us with superb thick tummy fur are suffering. However we are not suffering enough to wish to try a bath (thank you for that suggestion, Mr Puddy!). Äiti is looking for portable air con units but there are none in Finland north right now so for now we suffer.
Actually, the grass is quite cooling on our tummies.
And Ruska looks very handsome behind the dandelions (which Tessie-kilpikonna loves to eat). Ruska is very hot of course, with his black coat.
There is a lot of competition to sit in the corner of the catio which has a bit of a breeze.
But I must admit I have given up and just think the sofa is the best place.

Ruska looks very panther-like in his jungle. :-)

We don't have any air conditioning in our house, either, though we have fans. Still, when it gets hot, it gets hot! And all the fans do is move the hot air around.

We hope you get some slightly cooler weather soon. Warm, but not stifling.

In the meantime, stay in the shade and drink water!

P.S. We had no idea it could get that hot in Finland, let alone northern Finland, so it's true you can learn something new every day.

You poor babies. :( It is really too hot not to have AC - very unfair for Finland to be this hot! We've found that laying sprawled out on the floor of the lowest level in the house works best for cooling - even better if you have tile or linoleum (not carpet).

And thanks for the reminder of the Meme - our mom totally forgot! Of course, we're not surprised. She's rather worthless. But we're THRILLED that your box finally arrived!!!!!!!!! We're anxious to see how much of the stuff we sent actually made it to you...

That seems surprisingly hot for Finland, guys! We have the hots here too, but we are fortunate to have airconditioning in our house. it still wears me out, though. I sleep a lot, and bare my belly a lot.

Your temperatures are like ours but unfortunately the 90F is normal for our area! On the bright side, we do have AC (but a cheap mom so don't even ask us about the setting...) Your Aiti just needs to sit and fan all of you ;)

Well, that is UNFAIR! We WANT the HOTS and you get 'em! You all look so nice in the grass; we wish we were allowed a dandylion-strewn lawn.

If you floofers get too hot Aiti could give you a bag of frozen peas to lie on. Just a suggestion...

Lots of ice in the water bowls for you! Maybe your mum can try putting ice in pillow cases and putting them on the catio for you to play with and lay on. Our weather will be over 37C/100F for much of the summer ( We love the ice in pillow cases. ) so keeping cool is a big thing! If we can help with anything , just let us know.
