This is a weekend of remembrance - which to be honest is far more important than tummies.
We wish to thank Three Tabby Cats in Vienna for this event. There have been many on the CB who left us to early, and I always remember our very own Monty-cat whom I knew only for a few days. And before that was Kilda whom I never met.
I asked Äiti what happens to the light of the candles we light and she says it travels into the universe and reflects off everything we see, and then begins to warm them up, which sounded quite nice.We are hoping for a sunny warm weekend with lots of light, and it will help the garden and the stinky birds spring to life.

We have our candle lit too, to remember all our furriends who have passed, but especially to remember Annie and Chumley.

That is a lovely idea for what happens to the light from the candles. We are sad about all the kitties who have gone to the Bridge before, especially those who have gone this past year.

We think you Aiti is very wise about the candlelight.

It's sadness mixed with joy. If they had never died, it would mean that they had never been born. And although my Arthur was with me only 2 years, I couldn't imagine never having had him as part of my life. If we had him only for one day, it would have been worth everything. There isn't a day that goes by without our thinking of him and saying his name. My dad always said mourning deaths is all about us, celebrating lives is all about them. Guess it's time to take some food to the local rescue in celebration of lots of fine kitties we've loved and lost.

I also lit a candle because we must always remember our loved one's gone and those that need us now. Hugs GJ xx

What a beautiful post, and the weekend is a lovely tribute to so many friends who came before.

Purrs and hugs.

I love the way your Aiti told you guys about the candle light. I will ask mom to do it tonight and I will do soft purrs for all furry Angels friends in the sky.
