It was indeed Aila in the bed! Well done Mr Priddey (Äiti says you were always clever!). And it was Aila-sisko's birthday yesterday. She got a fantastic card from our Dursley cousins, and a lovely cuddle from Äiti at 3am (when we were all locked out - pah!).
Anyway, we need to tell you that it was 4 years since Aila-sisko was actually born - her homing day was seven weeks after this. It is very unusual to know her actual birthday, but that is because she had an unusual start to life.
Aila-sisko's mummy cat was very young and didn't know what to do when she gave birth to a lump of bloody kittens. Her human got her to the Moggery (the cat home in Bristol where my Britcat siblings are from) and their friend the vet managed to save three girl cats and luckily then the mummy cat started to look after them. However the girl cats were a bit slow to develop and couldn't walk properly or focus their eyes so Äiti took pity on the smallest and gave her a lovely indoor home, long with Harris, Lewis, Stran and Monty.
Stran-veli of course looked after her very well. Very soon all signs of brain damage disappeared and Aila-sisko proved to be very clever and cute.
We now wonder what happened, as she is not so cute. But we are pleased she is with us and that her naughty kneecap is recovering.

Happy Birthday, Aila!
You are so tiny next to Stran. WE think you are very pretty! Mommy would like to kiss those spotties on your whisker humps. Enjoy those private 3 AM cuddles; it drives the rest of the gang nuts...heh heh.
