I panicked last night when Punapippuri's dressing moved I could see several stitches, but the vet siad that was fine, and I can just keep an eye on the wound - and he should not pull at them (or I guess he'll end up with a lampshade collar!).
Last night he scoffed quite a large amount of ham, and at 1am pulled himself up his ramp onto the bed for attention! He cannot quite master getting down but this morning is hobbling around on all four legs, around the room and trying to get out to the rest of his house as soon as the door is open. I've just removed his cannula, for which he obliging held out his paw (and no claws). He's eating a hearty breakfast of trout in jelly so I hope recovery is now starting
Thank you to everyone for all your support and messages - as you can imagine I've been really worried about him, and knowing that others have been thinking of him too has helped a lot.

I am so glad that he is doing so well. I just now read about his surgery and I hope that he recovers nicely.

Maggie May removed most of her dressing and stitches the first night after the first surgery (while we were sleeping). It was not a pretty sight! She had to be stapled back together. After that, she never bothered the staples. Your vet did a great job with the dressing, looks like it should hold up pretty well!
