I, Punapippuri of Muhos Fields, am very proud to see that I am about to have my one thousandth hit on the blog. Äiti says that half of them are from me but this is not true as I can hack my way into the statistics and I have had visitors from across the globe. Some have even been from as far away as Helsinki. Others are from the land of my brothers and sister, so I can truly claim to be an author on a global scale. I am celebrating this fame by chasing Sisko Islay who has begun to enjoy the fact that she has a young playmate who will, in time, boss her around. Today we have been running around and making the rugs move a long way. We are trying to see how far we move them before Äiti gets fed up and puts them back.
Veli Stran was a bit sleepy yesterday so Äiti has been worried again. It may have been the catnip he had in the evening though, and perhaps also he is not used to the long hours of darkness, For me the darkness means lots of playtime, but for these Englishers I live with they cannot keep up the pace. I am trying very hard to allow Äiti to sleep for five hours each night but it does get so very boring. Last night I found a new game - I hid in between the duvet and the cover and it made it so much harder for her to push me away when I bit her feet. She is getting many strange red marks on her legs and arms which she says are now hurting - I cannot think why. My kitten claws and teeth are so soft....

It is nice to see that Veli Stran is not too sleepy to give you a good fight and a good wash.
